Commissioned by the Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama for the Danel String Quartetwith funds kindly provided by the Britten-Pears Foundation
Movts 1-3 fi rst performed in the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall, Manchester, as part of the North West Composers' Festival on 8 March 2012 and at the Memorial Hall, Manchester Grammar School on 9 March 2012 by the Danel String Quartet.
First complete performance was at the Memorial Hall, Manchester Grammar School, on 22 February 2013 by the Danel String Quartet.
