This music was sent quickly. Also, the quality and clarity of the print was very good, espicially for me with some eye issues.

This is a lovely piece to play, fairly technical but playable with practice. Needs A clarinet for 2nd movement though!

Prelude Nos 1 and 3 are great because you can play them with B flat Clarinet, but No. 2 is impossible to transpose into b flat clarinet because of the range and if you don't have a Clarinet in A it is unplayable. Otherwise a great adaption, just misleading...

as the title says for B flat clarinet?!

While the arrangement of this piece is sufficient. The piano/clarinet matchup doesnt compare to the texture of the original orchestral piece. If these preludes are played by a solo clarinet, it really should be accompanied a full orchestral to give the music life.

  • December 01, 2002 A real pleasure to play

This is a very enjoyable arrangement to play if you can find a good clarinetist. The challenge is to stay steady with all the syncopation (but that's part of the fun isn't it?). If you can play a moderately difficult Beethoven Sonata (like the Op. 2 No. 1...

) at full speed, this piece won't be any problem for you.
