Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. Arranged by Curtis Hanson. Classical,Sacred. Octavo. 32 pages. Curtis Hanson #3485721. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719707).This is an SATB arrangement of Beethoven's solo song cycle to six poems by Christian Gellert. Text includes the original German plus an English translation by the arranger. The translation attempts to follow the meaning and intent of the German but is not necessarily poetic, that is, lines don't rhyme. The first five pieces pose less of a challenge for the voices and accompaniment, however the sixth piece, "Busslied," requires a competent pianist. The fourth piece of the cycle is the familiar "Die Ehre Gottes aus der Natur" (The Glory of God in Nature, also known as The Heavens Are Telling).
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
