This fast, furious yet very playable work is meant to conclude concerts in a fun and light-hearted manner. While it sounds impressive and quite demanding, appropriate ranges and wise orchestration makes it quite playable at faster tempos. As with most of Gilroy's compositions, the percussion section plays an important role as indicated by a galloping rhythm first introduced by a solo woodblock. This fun and energetic work will provide a musical exclamation point to any wind band performance.
