Firebird was an enormous success when it premiered in 1910,and it remains a favorite concert piece even today. This arrangement of theFirebird Suite includes five of the most beautiful movements from Stravinsky’soriginal 1911 and 1919 suites: Introduction,the tender Rondo of the Princess, the savage Infernal Dance, the hauntinglybeautiful Berceuse (lullaby), and the triumphant Finale. Perfect for anyrecital, concert or Pops program. This arrangement is scored for organ andbrass quintet with percussion (timpani, bass drum, suspended cymbal, bar chimeand triangle).
