For Flute Quartet or Flute Choir

Fat Bottomed Girls
Program Notes

Fat Bottomed Girls is a song by the British rock band Queen and was written by guitarist Brian May. The song is bluesy and opens with its chorus with lush acapella vocals by the band.  Oddly enough, my daughter requested that I arrange the song for flute quartet so it could be used for the recessional following her wedding ceremony. Really!  I couldn’t make this up.

This arrangement for flute choir can be performed with as few as 4 players or a full flute choir with multiple players on a part.  It is scored for 3 flutes , and either bass flute, alto flute, or c-flute on the 4th part.
