This exciting opening piece from "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" opens with an echo of Hedwig's Theme from earlier movies from the Harry Potter universe. Moving between C minor and C major, it uses a number of time signatures including the main theme in 7/8 time. Parts included are Violin I, Violin II, Viola/Violin III, Cello, Bass and an optional Bass Drum part. While parts do not move out of first position, there are double stops (or divisi) in the Violin I and Viola parts. This could be played by more advanced school students. .
