  • May 28, 2008 Good Solution for Students Struggling

You don't have to teach for very long before you encounter students who want to play popular tunes that are way too difficult for them to be able to pull off successfully. Most pop collections leave too many elements for the student to be able to execute at the...

level the book is designed for. This series is different. The arranger has paid close attention to the grading of each book, keeping the series on the easy side. Thus, the books can serve as a reward for students. They can perform their favorite songs without having to struggle at every turn. This isn't study material. It's musical dessert, and it should be enjoyable. These books help that to happen.

the duets played by the teacher really adds to the music and I believe the interaction with the student help them appreciate the time that he/she put into the learning of the pieces.
