"Evening Prayer" is one of the most famous themes from the Opera "Hansel and Gretel" by Englebert Humperdinck.

At the end of Scene 2, Gretel reminds Hansel to say their evening prayer. After they pray, they fall asleep on the forest floor. Fourteen angels appear and arrange themselves around the children to protect them as they sleep.

What better instruments to portray this angelic scene, than the heavenly Horns!

A treble and bass clef part are provided for fourth horn.

"Evening Prayer" is 8th Grade standard.

(AMEB Australia/ Trinity UK).
