Elegy for Black and Blue is a work for solo Trumpet, Piano, and Cello.  It is meant to be an Elegy in the name of peace between the Blue (Police Departments) and African Americans.  It begins with a chorale like phrase followed by bugle like phrases.  The middle section depicts a battle...followed by a meditative prayer for peace.
