Composed by Martin Luther, Stephanus Mahu. Arranged by Bill Wilson. Sacred. Score and parts. 11 pages. Alexander Wilson #552419. Published by Alexander Wilson (A0.774878).

Martin Luther wrote the words and melody to "Ein Feste Burg Ist Unser Gott," or "A Mighty Fortress is our God" in English, and then later the hymn was arranged in 5-part harmony by Stephanus Mahu. In its usual form (by Bach) the hymn usually associated with Reformation Sunday. It should be noted that this version is not a part of that lineage, and is noticeably different. If you are looking for the traditional version, go for a Bach arrangement, but if you want some variety, give Mahu a try! Arranged for brass quintet (two Bb trumpets, French horn, trombone, and tuba).  Performance time is approximately 1:35.  Visit our website, www.tootsuitebrasspublishing.com, for a catalog of our arrangements available through sheetmusicplus.com.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
