Published by Trevor Worff Adams (A0.1027287).Doppelgänger is a walz in the key of f aeolian (my favorite key). It is one of my very first serious compositions, written my freshman year in college. It is very elementary compared to the kind of piano pieces I find myself writing nowadays, but it still holds a special place in my heart. Like many pieces I write, I consider it a programmatic work. I don't like to be too specific in my description of the imagery I am portraying, as to not undermine the listener's imagination. The title pretty much says it all. I wrote this piece to convey, musically, the aura of ones malevolent double causing mischief while parading about as them.
