Written for the mid-elementary level student, Walk the Bass combines a Blues, walking bass type, melody in the left hand with suspended chord accompaniment in the right hand in the A section. In the B section, the left hand walking bass keeps a steady beat as the right hand performs a rhythm-filled, well liked, melody. Don't Forget to Walk the Bass received honorable mention in the 2014 American College of Musician's International Composing Competition. Enjoy!
