Concert Version: Darwin: To Love the Earth is a concert musical (optional staging) about the life of Charles Darwin.  This is an abbreviated version of the staged musical: Charles Darwin: To Love the Earth The main singing role is of Darwin himself, Henslow, and his wife, Emma, and sister Caroline.  There are several speaking roles, and a chorus which is offstage.  The words come from Darwin and letters from friends.  It shows how he was successful in many ways but was always criticized which he had to endure.   This is accompanied by a chamber orchestra: Piano, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Violin, Viola, and Cello.  The Full Score includes all musical numbers as well as spoken lines.
