Ellen Zwilich’s CONCERTO was commissioned by the Boston Symphony as a “swan song” for Doriot Dwyer to premiere during her final season as principal flutist with the orchestra – a premiere that was the topic of that weekend’s Peanuts comic strip! Zwilich’s 19-minute concerto is in three movements and has been recorded by Doriot Dwyer with the London Symphony.
