Recognized as one of the most important works in cello repertoire, Elgar's Concerto Op. 85 was completed in 1919 and stands as his final major completed work. This new edition, edited by John Pickard of the Elgar Society, uses for the first time the composer's original sketches to piece together an authoritative and definitive arrangement for cello and piano. A wonderful edition of one of the most frequently performed works for the cello.

This is the edition recommended for the DipABRSM 'cello exam (movts 1 and 2). It's okay but so far I've spotted at least one error in the 4th movt (Bar 253 should be all treble clef, not just the second part of it).

Please note that this edition contains no fingerings (which my teacher liked). Also, the only "update" to the piece that I found is a fermatta over one note. So don't buy this edition for the "updates" if you already own one.
