Composed by Stephen Collins Foster. Arranged by W. David Hedrick. Folk. Score and parts. 12 pages. William David Hedrick #2025487. Published by William David Hedrick (A0.881485).Stephen Foster's "Come Where My Love Lies Dreaming" is considered by many musicologists to be his most intricate composition. It was played at his funeral by a brass band. This arrangement is for flute solo with string quartet or ensemble. It is a beautifully lyrical piece with flowing lines in the string to accompany the flute solo. With the lovely part writing this piece is suitable for any concert venue and could be used in contest or festival. It is a great piece for teaching technique and substantial enough for public performance. The conductor's score contains all parts and the flute solo. The audio clip is a computer rendering in Finale.
