SATB voices with optional Brass quintet Nine yuletide anthems and contemporary carols are featured in this magnificent celebration of Christ's birth, linked with traditional readings from Scripture. Most of the music is original, but there is the added touch of familiarity in the captivating tune FOREST GREEN and the triumphant conclusion based on DARWALL'S 148TH. This memorable work ranges from easy to moderately difficult. With only one soprano solo provided as a performance option, the involvement of the full chorus is significant throughout the entire presentation. The optional parts for three Trumpets and two Trombones add considerable color and can be mastered by players with average technical ability.
