It has plenty of contrasts in a classical sense, of pitch, dynamics and texture, making this a very interesting piece. The repeated chord accompaniment figure has a unifying effect and provides a fine rhythmic support. This piano piece would be suitable for students, though it does get slightly challenging at times. A suggestion is to combine this with one or two other O Carolan compositions at a recital or concert. It is an attractive,catchy and novel item.
