Althoughthere is a small dispute whether Jack Halloran was the original composer of thesong, Katherine Davis is widely accepted to have been this song’s creator. Thiswas written during the 1940’s and was first made famous by the Trapp FamilySingers during the 1950’s. A rendition by the Harry Simeone Chorale only madethis song even more familiar to listeners’ ears.
