Building on the original arrangement by Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman, this adaptation of an "IN THE HEIGHTS" song for SATB choir features an extensive (and expressive) solo for a solid belter, while keeping the chorus consistently involved for a more appealing concert (or show choir) presentation. A few cuts bring the length down to around 3'30", and the key is lowered from the original to better suit younger voices. The optional part for melodica and shaker (included) adds atmosphere, and a full rhythm section could be added to fill out the sound if desired. Choral text alternates between English and Spanish.
