Both Hands Boogie, for the late elementary level student, is a well loved piece among my students both for how it sounds and the challenge it presents in performance.  A strong technique is needed, especially in the left hand, to sustain the rhythm of the piece though out.  Counting is a priority in Boogie, especially in the B section, and students must master how to change dynamic levels quickly.  Lastly, students learn what it means to "swing" eighth notes, what musics use these types of notes, and how to play them.  Both Hands Boogie received honorable mention in the 2013 American College of Musician's International Composing Competition.  I know your students will enjoy the piece very much!
