By Bette Midler. By Don Raye and Hughie Prince. Arranged by Debi Cox. A Cappella,Pop. Octavo. 13 pages. Debi Cox #4596691. Published by Debi Cox (A0.924695).

This fun arrangement of this well known Andrews Sisters' song from the big band/WW2 era is arranged for female voices and would be suitable for an octet (minimum), choir or barbershop chorus.

The texture varies throughout, but where the "tune" is featured this is mainly sung by a trio of voices (which can be more than 3 people in a larger choir performance), with a backing group of 4 parts in close harmony texture, plus an additional walking-bass line which frequently features low Ebs (normal for barbershop groups, although normal altos may consider this very low) and one low D at the end.

There is also an opportunity for a solo scat, with neutral backing. If this is not desired, it would be possible to cut from beat 2 in bar 44 to the 2nd beat in bar 55.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
