By Geordie Ridley. By Geordie Ridley. Arranged by Matthew Spinner. A Cappella,Folk. Octavo. 9 pages. Matthew Spinner #3011947. Published by Matthew Spinner (A0.928700).

This is an a cappella SATB arrangement of Geordie Ridley's famous comedy song from Tyneside in the north-east of England. The humorous folk song is about an eventful bus trip from Balmbra's Music Hall in the English city of Newcastle to the horse racing in nearby Blaydon, situated on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne. With the rain pouring down throughout the journey, the bus loses a wheel and various injuries are sustained, some requiring hospital attention. When they finally get there, one of the horses has been stolen. More recently, the song has been adopted by supporters of the local football team, Newcastle United.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
