Published by JB Linear (A0.582144).Benedictus was composed by Welsh composer, Karl Jenkins in 1999. It is based on the Catholic Mass and makes use of the ancient tune "The Armed Man". The Benedictus here set for flute and piano by John Gibson is near the end of the piece. It is restful and not too hard, except that the tempo is very very slow. That makes some of the notes in the flute quite long, so a slightly faster tempo than the marked 40, might be more comfortable - just don't overdo it!
