The three castles, city walls and the old town of Bellinzona together form one of the Swiss World Heritage Sites on the UNESCO List. Unlike similar fortifications the castles of Bellinzona are almost completely preserved in their original condition. As the title of this work suggests, the three movements of Bellinzona Castles are based on the three castles, which are briefly described as follows:The Bellinzona castles are grouped around the Castelgrande—known as St. Michael’s Castle—which stands on a rock looking out over the valley of the Ticino river. The castle was built in the 10th century and has two distinctive towers: one white and oneblack. The strong castle walls that embrace the entire old city run out from here.The second castle, Montebello, is built as part of the defensive wall. The heart of the castle dates from the late 13th century, but it was expanded between the mid-14th century and the end of the 15th century.The third castle, Sasso Corbaro, stands on a rock southeast of the fortifications. The castle, which was built at the end of the 15th century, stands apart from the rest of the fortress.

De drie kastelen, de stadsmuur en de binnenstad van Bellinzona vormen samen een van de elf Zwitserse werelderfgoederen op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. In tegenstelling tot vergelijkbare monumenten in Europa zijn de kastelen vanBellinzona nog bijna volledig in originele staat. Zoals de titel al zegt, zijn de drie delen van Bellinzona Castles gebaseerd op de afzonderlijke kastelen, die hieronder kort beschreven staan. De monumenten van Bellinzonazijn gegroepeerd rondom de burcht Castelgrande, die op een rots ligt en uitkijkt over de vallei van de rivier de Ticino. Het kasteel is gebouwd in de 10e eeuw. Het heeft twee markante torens: een witte en een zwarte. Vanafhet kasteel lopen versterkte muren rond de binnenstad.Het tweede kasteel (Montebello) is opgenomen in de verdedigingsmuur. De basis stamt uit het einde van de 13e eeuw, maar in het midden van de 14e eeuw en aan het eind vande 15e eeuw is het kasteel uitgebreid.Ten zuidoosten van de versterkingen ligt het derde kasteel (Sasso Corbaro) op een rots. Die drei Burgen, die Stadtmauer und die Altstadt von Bellinzona bilden gemeinsam eine der Schweizer Weltkulturerbestätten auf der Welterbeliste der UNESCO. Im Gegensatz zu vergleichbaren Festungen sind die Burgen von Bellinzona noch fast vollständig im Originalzustand erhalten. Wie der Titel dieses Werkes schon andeutet, basieren die drei Sätze von Bellinzona Castles auf den drei Burgen, die im Folgenden kurz beschrieben werden.Die Kastelle von Bellinzona sind rund die Burg Castelgrande gruppiert, welche auf einem Felsen steht und auf das Tal des Flusses Ticino hinausblickt. Gebaut wurde die Burg im 10. Jahrhundert. Sie hat zwei markante Türme: einen weißen undeinen schwarzen. Vom der Burg aus verlaufen starke Mauern rund um die Altstadt.Die zweite Burg (Montebello) ist in die Wehrmauer integriert. Ihr Kern stammt vom Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts. Mitte des 14. und Ende des 15. Jahrhundert wurde das Bauwerk jedoch erweitert.Auf einem Felsen südöstlich der Wehranlagen liegt die dritte Burg (Sasso Corbaro). Das Kastell, das Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts erbaut wurde, liegt isoliert vom Rest der Festung.

Les vieux quartiers de Bellinzona (chef-lieu du Tessin, Suisse), les trois ch teaux, et la muraille qui enserre la ville, sont les trois éléments qui constituent l’un des sites du patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Contrairement d’autres fortifications semblables, les ch teaux de Bellinzona sont presque entièrement préservés dans leur état d’origine. Comme l’indique le titre de la présente pièce, les trois mouvements de Bellinzona Castles s’inspirent de ceux-ci, dont voici une brève description :Au centre de l’ensemble se trouve le Castelgrande (ou ch teau Saint-Michel), qui se dresse sur une colline dominant la vallée de la rivière Ticino. Datant du Xesiècle, il se caractérise par deux tours bien distinctes, l’une qualifiée de "blanche", l’autre de "noire". Les murailles qui cernent le vieux bourg commencent ici.Le deuxième ch teau, Montebello, fait partie de l’enceinte de défense. Le centre du ch teau date de la fin du XIIIe siècle, mais le b timent a été agrandi entre le milieu du XIVe siècle et la fin du XVe.Le troisième ch teau, Sasso Corbaro, est situé sur un rocher au sud-est des fortifications. Édifié la fin du XVe siècle, il est séparé du reste de la forteresse.
