Originally written for SATB voices with multiple divisi, the choral writing is simplified here without losing any of the lushness of the original. The baritone part stays primarily in a D-D range so it is accessible for most male voices. The soprano likewise stays primarily in the D octave with an optional upper octave final phrase for the ambitious. The piece begins softly and builds to a glorious full bodied climax on the final verse. This piece is sure to become a favorite of any church choir.
