  • June 02, 2008 Not enough detail

Just not enough as an absolute beginner's book. No sooner has it shown you how to hold your hands correctly than you are off playing an entire piece with both hands, including chords. Not enough basic exercises. No way will it give you a start over other pupils. Some...

  • September 24, 2006 Not really suitable for beginners

I had got this book before starting lessons. My teacher was not impressed. It leaps ahead far too quickly without giving nearly enough exercises and practice on all-important basic technique. We ended up using another book alongside it. If you really want to build up good technique this just...

doesn´t offer enough - it isn´t really for beginners at all.
