Composed by Christopher Tin. Arranged by David J. Marques. A Cappella. Octavo. 15 pages. David J. Marques #3915951. Published by David J. Marques (A0.887126).

Baba Yetu is a powerful song, well-known for its use in the 2005 video game Civilization IV, and is praised by musicians and gamers alike.  The lyrics are a translation of the Lord's Prayer into Swahili, allowing people everywhere to connect to the song.  Baba Yetu was the first piece of video game music to be nominated and win a Grammy Award.  After more than 10 years, the game and the song remain famous.  This a cappella arrangement is inspired by the interpretation by Peter Hollens and Malukah, bringing the style of popular music into this classical piece.  Baba Yetu is an excellent song the the high school or university level.
