This is a lyric and pastoral arrangement of Away In A Manger. The Clarinet part uses the original Murray tune in the key F major and modulates to A flat major for the recap. The piano part creates a soft pastoral scene of a quiet manger where the Baby Jesus lay. After the modulation, the piano part echos the melody in cannon through to the end. The harmonies are thin, yet fresh to bring out the simple beauty of the melody. A must have for intermediate/early advanced pianists and clarinet players.
