Composed by Christy-Lyn Marais. Contemporary Classical,Christian,Spiritual,Method,Repertoire. 4 pages. Published by Christy-Lyn (S0.390209).

For Lever harp (including lap harps) or Pedal Harp. Fingering is indicated.

This arrangement is for a beginner level harpist, intended as a performance piece for beginners who have learned to play with fingers 1 and 2, and to use basic bracketing.

"After the Rain" is written to sound like water dripping off the trees from a much-needed rain here in Cape Town, South Africa. After a long period of drought it is such a relief to have the beautiful rain!

This is a helpful exercise in basic bracketing (placing before playing) with fingers 1 and 2.

For harp teachers, this piece works well for players who are working on basic bracketing with fingers 1 and 2.

This piece is easy to play, but sounds good as a performance piece; it has a good pay-off for the practice you put in! If you enjoyed Sailing on a Lake [FREE sheet music here: https://www.christylynmusic.com/free-sheet-music], Breath of Air and Feeling Nostalgic, then this is the piece to attempt next! It will impress your friends and show them how relaxing and beautiful harp music can be! It can also be used in a church setting, hospital setting or at a nursing home.
