With it's heavy percussion grooves to its explosive chorus! "Africa" has been used in countless Films, TV shows, and dance clubs all around. It has also been certified as quadruple platinum and is Toto's most famous song. This arrangement is written as an intermediatelevel marching band piece, and reflects the parts of the song well, with very chill verse sections, groovin' percussion parts, and two explosive choruses! This arrangement is mainly meant to be played as a stand’s tune but canpreformed in a halftime show as well.
A few notes about the difficulty of parts:The 1st Mellophone part reaches a Bb above the staff, the 1st trumpet reaches aC above the staff with an optional E above the staff, and the 1sttrombone reaches an E above the staff.
The percussion instrumentation includes a standarddrumline set up of Snare Drum, Tenor Drums (Quints), Bass Drums (4), andCymbals (2 Split Parts).
