Derek Hasted writes "This haunting piece (originally for violin and full orchestra) fits nicely onto 3 guitars (or a large ensemble), making a concert item that is accessible to intermediate players. It will provide a reflective and calm piece that the audience are sure to enjoy - its strangely familiar motif is both calm and reassuring in its flow.
The piece is set around a fixed chord sequence with arpeggios that are instantly familiar.
Guitars 2 and 3 will benefit from coming out of first position in the opening chord sequence, to create a more mellow sound which can be enhanced further with a little vibrato. Guitar 1 moves around the neck, and the best place for the position changes will be a personal choice. Where possible, the ornamentation is best slurred rather than plucked.
