American Folk Hymn "O, when shall I see Jesus and reign with Him above, and shall hear the trumpet sound in that morning..."This text by John Leland has been traditionally sung to the old SACRED HARP tune. Set here for 3, 4, or 5 octaves of bells and in the key of f minor. The melody enters in octaves along with whole note chords. Interest is added through use of mart lifts and other staccato technique. The ending uses a trumpet fanfare effect before ending on a Picardy third (F major chord).
