Another Beautiful Piece by George Tingley
I first heard this lovely piece on our Music Choice station on cable TV! I checked online for the music. It challenged my piano skills & at first, I thought I'd NEVER learn it; but with much persistence & practice have mastered it! This is one of many Tingley pieces that I have played in church. I have purchased several single songs and song books by George Tingley. I DO LOVE his original pieces and arrangements (e.g. Amazing Grace from his Sacred Inspirations songbook)! Please also see my review of L'Adieu. I've played the piano for over 60 years.

Lovely introduction to romantic playing
This piece has it all: sweeping melodies, expansive LH accompaniment, dramatic climax, and it is very playable: it fits the hand very well. I have never had a student who did not immediately fall in love with this piece. Great opportunity to work in a two-page piece on issues that will come up in bigger romantic literature.

Nice piece
This is a nice piece of music to start teaching the rubato effect in piano playing. Also a good piece for teaching broken chords in the LH against a flowing melody. Love teaching the build to the climax of this piece and then the quiet finish.
