Love this song book
I had already learned a few of the songs that are included in this book from another book but when I moved of course the instructor kept her book. I ordered this one and enjoy the songs I've already learned plus a good selection of other hymns. Easy enough for me to pick up on without my instructor, hard enough to make learning them rewarding.

Great way to get into hymns.
This series provides a great way for my students to begin hymn playing. By the time they finish level 3, they have no problem transitioning straight to the hymnal. By the age of 8 or 9, they are able to start playing for congregational singing.

Great Way to Introduce Hymns!
I love hymns so much, and most of my students have an interest in them as well. I use this book as an introduction to learning how to play hymns improvising from the hymnal. It covers a broad range of skill, the beginning is simpler, and the end gets more intricate. There are student/teacher duets in the beginning, but at the end there aren't. I hope this helps. :)
