The title of this Bill Evans composition suggests the fact that the meter continually alternates between sections of 3/4 and 4/4/ time. The tempo is medium fast with a strong swing feel. Both tenor trombone and piano are well-featured to this tune's intensely chromatic changes, and there are some trombone "fours" near the end. This arrangement is quite difficutl technically and demands an excellent bass trombonist. It will challenge top professional groups. Scored for 5 tenor bones, 1 bass bone and rhythm. Diffult.
