The lyrics for this hymn beautifully express how living for Jesus brings peace and rest no matter the troubles that may come: "Living for Jesus, O what peace! Rivers of pleasure never cease. Trials may come, yet I'll not fear. Living for Jesus, He is near."
Beginning in the key of G major, the VIOLIN 1 leads with the melody for the first verse, followed by the VIOLIN 2 on melody for the second verse. During the piano interlude, the song transitions to the key of C major for the third verse with VIOLIN 1 playing melody again.
The range for each part is as follows: VIOLIN 1 ~ G4 to B5; VIOLIN 2 ~ B3 to A5. All notes for both VIOLINS are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. The PIANO accompaniment is written for an advanced intermediate player.
