June Hymn from The Decemberists' 2011 album 'The King is Dead'.

ARRANGED FOR STANDARD STRING QUARTET (2 violin, viola, cello)
The linked video is played by a cello, with the first violin part mostly played one octave lower. Otherwise the arrangement is identical to the string quartet version sold here.

A beautiful tune with some great harmonizing from middle voices and an active accompaniment throughout.  The song sounds best with a gentle style but rhythmically-tight ensemble!

My string arrangements are true to the original song, with minimal changes to pop melodies to facilitate playing and sightreading. Parts are error-free, tested and enjoyed by professional musicians at weddings and private events.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
