Composed by Lynieve Austin, Simon James. Contemporary,Latin,World. Score and parts. 6 pages. DML #5334939. Published by DML (A0.928250).

This song is based on a Colombianas a Flamenco style imported, as the name suggests, from South America. There has always been a rich interchange between Spain and South America, not so surprising perhaps. I had written the beginning as a solo piece but when Lynieve heard it she said it gave her a strong image of a little girl playing outside in the sun. So I just let her go with it. The lyrics are mostly hers but I added a line here and there and a lot of the melody sprang naturally from the lyrics. We tried to retain that original image of childhood but with just a hint of the unavoidable growing up. Although the lyrics are in English it forms a group with Torito and Una Pena Quita Pena as it is based on various styles of Flamenco.
