It covers a major emotional journey from frustration to acceptance in a gentle, thoughtful trajectory. What I find interesting is that by the end of the song, being green has become a wonderful way to be - but it hasn't necessarily become easy. But then, maybe it's better to have a worthwhile way to be than an easy life.
