Brass Quintet - Advanced - Digital Download

SKU: H0.712979-SC001535560

By Leonard Bernstein. Arranged by Armin Terzer. Score,Set of Parts. 235 pages. Published by AT Press (H0.712979-SC001535560).

This is a new arrangement for brass quintet of Bernstein’s popular West Side Story. Not entirely satisfied with the Jack Gale version and the harmonic liberties (among others) it takes? Missing a few of the tunes? You are in the right place. This version is absolutely true to the original (except for a few cuts) and even includes the original (plus a few select percussion moments) drum kit part – but works equally well just with quintet alone.

This is a very challenging, but extremely rewarding arrangement. A lead player on first trumpet is recommended (though it is possible to play many sections an octave lower without losing too much of the effect). Feel free to listen in (further samples available on my website www.arminterzer.com) and make upyour own mind.
