Another one of Kerry’s older arrangements (with a slightly awkward-looking rhythm section part, although readable), this arrangement of the Ivan Lins jazz/pop classic is inspired by a recording by Rosana Eckert. The phrasing is meant to be as natural and conversational as possible, so a more precise rhythmic notation approach is used to convey this soloistic quality. The voicing density changes sometimes mid-phrase to bring interest and color to the lines, but the harmony is largely left to the original Lins chord progressions.
