The Sonata for Oboe and Piano is a full-scale Romantic work in three movements, which offers a distinctive contribution to the oboe repertoire.  The first movement is dramatic and passionate, but also includes a quieter lyrical secondary theme.  The slow movement offers an idyllic moment of respite and a lovely quasi-pastoral melody.  The final rondo is virtuosic, playful, and energetic, and concludes with a rousing Baroque-style fugue.  Both the full score and the oboe part are included. Duration: 18:00.
