For Piano and Orchestra KV 382. Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Gottfried Veit. Baton Music instrumental series. For Piano and Orchestra KV 382. Full score. Baton Music #BM911-SCORE. Published by Baton Music (BF.BM911-SCORE).

Mozart wrote the 'Rondo for Piano and Orchestra' in Vienna in 1782 as an alternative final movement to his 'Piano Concerto No. 5', which he composed in 1773 at the age of eighteen. In fact, this 'rondo' does not correspond to the general 'rondo form'; it rather contains a number of witty variations. This approximately ten-minute concert piece begins with an 'Allegro grazioso' and later changes to an 'Adagio' and an 'Allegro' which requires just shortly before the final again the starting pace. Italian arranger Gottfried Veit transcribed this rondo for piano with accompaniment of a small symphonic band. The instrumentation - with some instruments scored as optional - is in full respect to the original.
