Flute

SKU: HU.HN457

Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Edited by Hans Eppstein. Flute Solo, Woodwind, Repertoire, Solos. Partita in a minor for Flute Solo BWV 1013. Softcover Book. 8 pages. G. Henle #HN457. Published by G. Henle (HU.HN457).

12.2 x 9.2 inches.

The Partita in a minor for Flute Solo BWV 1013 has survived only in one source. This is a manuscript copy made by two anonymous copyists, probably in the 1720's. J.S. Bach is expressly named as the composer. Since Bach only became acquainted with the transverse flute in Cothen, the Partita probably originated during his Cothen period (1717-23), during which he wrote a good deal of chamber music.
