Composed by Alan Simon. Jazz,Bebop. 3 pages. Published by Alan Simon (S0.694303).A contrafact of the standard "You Don't Know What Love Is," but played as a medium-up swinger instead of a ballad. The "A" sections use augmentation so that they are doubled (16 bars each) while the "B" section (bridge) is only 8 bars like the original—a total of 40 measures. On the recording the head is preceded by two chorus' of 12-bar blues in F minor featuring guitarist, Rory Stuart. The rest of the band is Glenn Wilson on baritone sax, Ernie Krivda, tenor sax, Jeff Halsey, bass, John Hazilla, drums and Alan Simon on piano.
