Discover quickly Point de Fuite, the superb poem by Sarah KERYNA harmonized for equal voices by Lionel Ginoux :

My meeting with Sarah was during the biennial of young artists in Marseille. I was seduced by her poetry from the very first listening.
At that time, in 2002, I wanted to write for voice and more particularly for women's choir.
I naturally turned to Sarah who introduced me to several of her texts. I was very attracted by the writing of Point de fuite. I liked this very original poetry. I loved its musicality, its puns, its rhythm and also the images and contrasts that emerged from it. The puns like shock and jerk amused me a lot.
In writing the music, I wanted to translate Sarah's poetic universe, the colours, the images, the play on rhythm and repetition, the landscapes that parade before our eyes....
(Lionel Ginoux)

About Lionel Ginoux :

To write... in all simplicity... to write, to make what is in me spring forth, not with words, but with sounds. With no a priori style, I need to cross music, sounds and materials to give meaning and to be a witness of the world. >>

Lionel Ginoux studied visual arts (cinema, audiovisual and sound engineering) before devoting himself to music writing, training alongside Régis Campo, Barnabé Janin, David Owen, Roger Cawkwell, Georges Boeuf...
He writes lyrical, sensitive, powerful music with a strong attachment to musical energy and dramaturgy.
His writing is singular. It is in line with the continuity of contemporary music of the 20th century without denying the vocality or classical harmony. Because of her musical curiosity, her writing is inspired by popular music and jazz.
He writes mainly for acoustic formations: symphony orchestra, choir, opera, chamber music and soloist.
