Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Steven Nunes. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards,World. Score and parts. 135 pages. Nagamon Publications #4982007. Published by Nagamon Publications (A0.1008694).

This wind band transcription for advanced intermediate band of Holst's A Somerset Rhapsody features an extended alto saxophone solo at the opening and end, as well as a lyrical moment for solo trombone.
This ten minute tone poem features a lovely selection of English folksongs all lyrically intertwined which delight audiences and performers alike.
Suitable for advanced high school and community groups already acquainted with First Suite and Second Suite and looking for something in the same vein.  This piece features more simplified percussion parts as in the original orchestral version, as well as manageable parts for third clarinet and third trumpet which keep the tessitura in the lower part of the range.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
