The two pieces made their premiere in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991). They are nearly identical with the File Select theme omitting the first 2 measures, and have followed this structure in games since.
This arrangement was made using the soundtrack from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998).
